OUR REVIEW STANDARDS · UPDATED OCTOBER 11, 2026
Review guidelines
A high-ticket purchase involves more than a product arriving at your door. Advice, delivery, setup, warranty support and how a business handles a problem all matter. Review Paradise is being built so customers can share those details and the next buyer can make a better decision.
Current availability: Public registration and review collection are not open yet. The standards below describe how submissions will be handled when collection opens. Business listings are available to browse now.
Write about your own experience
Review the business you actually dealt with. Tell readers what happened, when it happened and which parts of the experience worked or fell short. A specific negative experience is welcome just as a specific positive experience is.
You can describe a real pre-purchase interaction, an order, delivery, installation coordination or after-sales support. Make the context clear. Do not describe a purchase you never made, copy another person’s experience or present a generated story as a real customer review.
Use one review per business through your account. If the experience changes, contact us to update your existing review rather than creating additional ratings. Your public name, rating, review text and experience date can appear with an approved review. Your account email is not displayed with it.
Keep private information out
Do not publish addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, payment details, passwords, private correspondence or other identifying customer information. Leave out order numbers and private employee details. Describe the issue without sharing information that belongs in a support conversation.
Threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, impersonation, spam and unrelated promotional links are not accepted. Explain the facts you observed. Distinguish your opinion from a claim about something you could not know.
Conflicts of interest and incentives
Business owners, employees, agencies and competitors must not pose as ordinary customers. If you have a business, family or financial relationship that could affect your perspective, disclose it clearly. We may decline a customer rating when the relationship makes it unsuitable for the consumer review section.
Do not offer or accept payment, discounts, gifts or other rewards in exchange for submitting a review to Review Paradise. Businesses must not ask only satisfied customers to review them, demand a particular star rating or make support, refunds or warranty help depend on removing a review.
For broader background, the FTC’s consumer review guidance explains its rules concerning fake reviews, undisclosed insider relationships, sentiment-conditioned incentives and review suppression. Our platform standards can be stricter than the minimum rules described there.
What moderation checks
New reviews enter a pending queue. We check whether the submission follows these standards, relates to the listed business and appears to describe a real experience. We may ask the author to clarify details or remove private information before publication.
Approval does not prove that a purchase occurred, establish the accuracy of every statement or certify the business. A review is labeled “Purchase not verified” unless a separate purchase-verification process has actually been completed. That process is not available in the current pilot.
We apply these standards to positive and negative submissions. A low rating, criticism, a business’s disagreement or a commercial relationship with Review Paradise is not by itself a reason to remove an otherwise eligible review. We do not sell changes to customer ratings or removal of eligible criticism.
Ratings and business responses
A profile’s displayed rating uses its published, approved customer reviews. Pending submissions and business responses do not count toward that rating. Profiles with no published reviews show “No reviews yet,” rather than an invented score.
Business representatives must request profile access and have their authority independently checked before responding. Verified profile access means the representative’s authority was checked; it is not an endorsement of the business, its products or its customer service.
Responses should address the experience respectfully and give a useful next step. They must not reveal customer information, pressure someone to change a rating or attack the author. Responses and response edits enter moderation before publication.
Reports, corrections and disputes
Use “Report this review” on the business profile or email trevor@reviewparadise.com. Include the profile link, review identifier and the specific guideline you believe was breached. Do not send passwords or unredacted sensitive documents.
A report does not automatically remove a review. We consider the stated reason and may contact the author or business for clarification. Authors can request a correction or removal through the contact link in their account. If you disagree with a moderation decision, explain why and provide the relevant context so we can reconsider it.
Directory and editorial transparency
Review Paradise is founded and operated by Trevor Fenner, founder of Ecommerce Paradise. Imported profile descriptions are directory information, not customer testimonials. Listing a business does not establish dealer approval, current commercial terms, purchase verification or an endorsement.
Editorial guides and software comparisons are separate from customer star ratings. When we discuss Review Paradise alongside other platforms, we disclose our ownership and distinguish available functionality from planned features. Customer reviews must remain the customer’s own experience.
